PETG, 0,4mm nozzle 0,2mm layer height - keep adjusting, calbration off every second print
Hi,
I'm trying to print PETG but every second print fails.
I keep running the calibration. Started off at 1.200 mm but now olready at 1.500 mm adjustment en still wirey printed infill.
I'm using the PEI sheet.
I tried calibrating on the textured sheet, but even beyond 2mm still wirey infills. Gave up...

BTW: using a MINDA sensor (waiting for PINDA)
Is it usual to have such large corrections on Z height?

I am having the same question. I had to adjust to 1650 mm to get working
RE: PETG, 0,4mm nozzle 0,2mm layer height - keep adjusting, calbration off every second print
This is likely due to the MINDA not being temperature-compensated. I struggled with the z-offset changing between prints.
The only real fix is to upgrade to the Super PINDA. However, a fairly decent workaround (which I use) is to pre-heat the probe before starting a print.
- Home your printer, so that the probe is fairly close to the bed.
- Pre-heat the nozzle/bed (using PETG preset).
- Leave it for at least 5 minutes.
- Start your print.
You can also add that to your slicer as a custom pre-print G-Code to avoid doing it manually, but it's only a few clicks of your Mini dial.

@etzeitet-2
Well, I'm doing that, and also I moved the printer to an enclosed draftfree space to stabilize it.
Goot to know that adjustments up to 1.5 aren't exceptional.

@hainjedaf
I have found the same. My Z shifts less in an enclosure.
