Nothing happens when I adjust dial for Z

I've spent the better part of the last 3 days trying to get my new Mini Plus to do a good first layer. I've adjusted the height of the probe multiple times and have changed the Z axis using the dial. However, it appears that even when I change the Z axis with the dial, NOTHING visibly changes. Nothing lowers and nothing moves higher. My printer looks identical at -2.00 as it does at -0.001. Any assistance?

Make sure that X-axis is parallel to print bed (see here). After that make sure that bottom of SuperPINDA is about 1,5mm above print sheet (when nozzle is just touching print sheet).
Now you can start fresh (Z-offset at 0) first layer calibration.

75x75mm square

Once you've checked and adjusted your SPINDA height, can I suggest grabbing the 75 x 75 square created by Joan ( https://forum.prusa3d.com/forum/postid/331723/), and use this to calibrate your first layer?

Like many, I've found it to be much more useful than the built-in 1st layer print. Post a photo of your results; if further adjustment is needed, the people on this board have a finely tuned eye and will be able to advise.

Topic starter answered:
Probing failed

I had my husband run through that and he adjusted a couple screws, but now with the calibration, it stops at point 5 of 16 and says “probing failed.” Any ideas?

I'm pretty sure that's again related to X-axis not being parallel with print bed (as I mentioned in my previous post). You say couple of screws were adjusted... but question is: is now X-axis parallel to bed? Or to ask differently: is Z axis perpendicular to bed? On that link I gave, pay attention to chapter "B. Large correction" -usually that's what needs to be adjusted.
