Not happy with my Benchy
Hey all, just got my printer out of the closet for the first time in several years and did some firmware updates. Wanted to do a Benchy print first to see if things were working. Had about 4 of them fail because the printer would knock the print off the plate during the very early stages while still printing the base of the boat. I managed to increase the Z lift and that fixed that, but the print had several other issues as you can see in the photos.
- The bottom layer is not clean and the words are quite jumbled.
- The windows all have "drooping" threads of filament.
- The edges of the cabin are jagged and uneven
This is using standard Prusament filament and I left all the default profile settings in Prusa Slicer other than adjusting the Z lift. Any ideas for what to tackle to try to clean up the print quality?
It doesn't look like there's too much wrong -
The three common reasons for prints suddenly failing after a printer has been unused for a while:
A dirty print bed. Give it a really thorough clean and avoid touching the print area.
Damp filament. Look up threads here about drying filament especially if it has been left open.
General neglect, dust and cobwebs... Basic cleaning, lubrication and general maintenance have all been missed.

I problems persist run the built-in 'Z' offset calibration and show us the result *on the print sheet*
Cheerio,
