Mini first layer calibration -should the lines stick to each other?

If I produce a single layer print for calibration purposes, should the lines on this single level stick to each other or is it just important that they hold firmly to the bed?

It might be the test square I am using, but when I get the first layer lines to stick to each other, it introduces some waves in the print that go across the lines.  It seems like if change the z adjustment (such as from -285 to -280)   I can get nice lines that stick with no waves across lines but are not all sticking to each other.

Hi Figment,
the lines should be smooth and bonded together

@joantabb

Thanks - I tried a range from -280 to -320, and I think -320 is looking better (smoother and bonded, I might go to -330 or lower).  I also tried your gcode; I hope I do not need to use it regularly, but if I do I will be very grateful for it.

I usually lower 10-20 units (-0.010 to -0.020) until they bond.  This might be the most challenging part for those new to 3D printing.
