Mesh Bed Leveling Fails

This is really disappointing.  After waiting a full 5 months (and they've had my money that entire time) I finally received my Mini yesterday and put it together today.  I really expected it to work right out of the box after that kind of delay, but I can't get past the mesh med leveling.  It stops and says it failed after testing the 4th point.  I've set the PINDA (MINDA?) probe height.  If I use my hand to manually raise the left side of the bed as it's testing it will go past the 4th point and try the 5th point.  It's hard to keep pressing upward as the bed is moving so I don't know if it will go beyond the 5th point or not.  Any ideas?

On a side note, probably not related, I'm not able to flash new firmware from the enclosed thumb drive.  The LCD says 4.0.5 at the bottom so I assume I have the most current firmware, but still, another hiccup.  With the thumb drive inserted into the USB port on the electronics box, I press the rest button on the LCD panel and it goes through a reset but never offers to update the firmware...it goes straight to first layer calibration.  Same results from going to the Settings menu and trying it that way.

Really disappointed.  If I can't get answers here I'll start a chat session with Prusa, but it said there will be a 20 - 30 minute wait so I will have to wait until I can spend that much time waiting.

Thanks for any help!

Rich

my printer has the same issue. Did you ever figure this out?

Yes.  I applied some light downward pressure to the outside of the end of the z-axis...kind of bouncing it down several times.  Nothing too forceful...just enough to be able to see that it's being forced downward.  I determined that the failure was because the probe got farther away from the bed as it moved away from the main vertical mast on the right.  Since then I have had no issues with bed leveling, but my printer has still been a disappointment overall.  I constantly get messages to reset the printer because the hot end temperature is too low.  So far I've just put up with it, but eventually I'll have to start a chat session with Prusa to figure out what causes that.
