Layer shifting

This is a new problem from both a three year old file that's printed without issues before and a five year old printer that hasn't had these issues in the past.  The layer shift is impacting both X and Y and at different levels of the Z, it doesn't seem to be reproducable in a consistent manner.  I've tried reslicing, changing the fill, lowering the speed, retensioning the belts, tightening the set screws, and I'm running out of ideas as to where else to look for solutions.  Can anyone suggest something I'm missing?

Firmware 6.4, bootloader 2.5.0

RE: Layer shifting

Check the grub screws on the pulleys that sit in the axels of the stepper motors. ( In plain English: when you look at the stepper motors then there are gears on it that gudes the belts, those gears have little grub screw that tends to get loose over time.

I checked those already, they were already very tight.

RE: Layer shifting

Reseat the cables in the board, make sure bo other cables are close to them to prevent interference, reslice and try another pendrive?

Another idea is different infill instead if default grid, I usually had just issues with it, and some loose belts and so it was skipping when hitting certain walls and due to warping, so bumping bed temp a bit and preventing drafts would be another idea...
