How smooth should Y axis be?

The heat bed carriage moves but it doesn't slide like I expected it to. It slides on its own only when I tilt the entire assembly about 60 degrees.

I lubed according to the instructions, I'd say. And there was excess grease when installing the rods.

Just wondering if I should go back and redo the lubrication before I get further into the assembly.

You should check that the robs are paralell to each other.

Perhaps loosen the screws front/back and retight them: move bed all way back then tight screws -slightly-. Move bed front, tight screws -slightly-.

Check movement. If ok, tighten up screws.

Also if you have the belt installed, the motor/belt alignment also introduce a drag on movement.

Thanks, good that it can be adjusted without complete disassembly. I've moved on and just hope it works.

Now that I've done the Z-axis bearings as well, I think I probably over-lubed the X-axis a bit. I didn't realize there were 4 sets of holes in the applicator so I pushed out some, turned 90 degress, pushed some more and so on.
