Gap on first layer?

Working with a Prusa MINI+ purchased two months ago and using Hatchbox PLA. I also use a drybox when not printing.

The issue: There's noticeable gaps on first layer in all of my prints, with an audible "pop" from the extruder when it happens. My best guess is this is happening when the filament is pulled back into the extruder, so I'm wondering if this could be fixed with PrusaSlicer tweaks?

Not sure what settings I should change in PrusaSlicer, so any help or suggestions are welcome. Thanks!

Popping and fizzing is usually caused by moisture boiling off and screwing up the hotend's internal pressure.

Any other issue this may be a sign of?

Asking as I'm using a drybox, plus tested this with new filament (also dryboxed before printing), and I'm having the same issue.

Also tried:
- Slowing down the print speed to 40%, same issue, same spots.
- Upping and lowering the nozzle temp by 5 degrees (range of 200-215), same issue, same spots.

Are the gaps in exactly the same place each time?
