First prints and Thermal Runaway
Brand new mini+ in the semi-assembled version. Assembly went well but I can't seem to get through a first print. Looks like a thermistor problem to me. I did the basic diagnostics, checking writing (seems OK) and resistance (which seemed a tad high at 139 kOhm). I've had two benchy prints fail now, one around 78% and one around 50%. I'm running out of ideas here. Help?

I believe I solved the problem, which I'll document here for future searches. It's wintertime and I think the room was simply too cold. I sliced my 3d benchy mode with a modified PLA profile, changing the fan speed to 75%. My print worked out very well with that change: no further thermal errors and a nice, high resolution print.

Too cold an atmosphere or drafts will cause issues, mostly with warping, so the printer will be reluctant to start and you must expect sub-par results...

Noted... I was just mislead with the initial path to diagnosis (chasing hardware). I have an enclosure which I am now using, which should help.

I can second that for sure, our print quality goes down the toilet if the room temp goes below 17 Celsius even with the enclosure keeping the printer around 21. In the heatwave of summer the print quality was amazing, but the room was also 28 degrees.
