First Layer Calib Values

Hello i just build my Mini and i wanted to calibrate my first Layer.

Since im doing this for the 100 time now slowly increasing by a few numbers i came to the conclusion that i needed to put in around 750 to get a good first layer so to help myself keep sane and maybe others too we could maybe put our first layer calib values in this thread to compare and give people a rough estimate what to aim for:)

Mine was decent at 720 and too close at 780 so im still figureing out the excact value.

How about you?

RE: First Layer Calib Values

Hi,

I have 780 for my first layer, but if this is perfect or not, who knows. But what I knows, all of my PLA and ASA prints on the smooth sheet stuck perfectly. So no slippery or falling prints, but I also must says the tallest print I did was around 8 centimeters in height for now.

You really cannot compare these values. I had it at around -0.700 before I got the hotend calibrated to the correct height, and therefore adjusted the PINDA. After that my z-height is now -0.382.

So best advice is to just try out. As soon as you find out what to look for, it can be done pretty quickly.
