Constant clogging unable to troubleshoot please help
Hi, I purchased a prusa mini half a year ago. I got the kit since I read it was a good way to go deep into understanding the 3d printer. I assembeld it and its been working totally fine until recently, when all the prints came out super brittle and as if they were missing lots of layers (img 1 for reference, in black the last print i managed to do). It has reached the point where I can't even start a print because the filament doesn't come out. Things I've already tried:
- I have cleaned the heatbreak from the clogs it had inside
- bought a brand new nozzle,
- cleaned the extruder gear from dust, and put it back again.
- bought a new sheet (at first I thought it was an adherence issue)
Hypothesis so far:
The issue seems to be the amount of filament going inside the nozzle and/or the way it's melting. I thought it could be a heatcreep but I think I left the right distance from the nozzle to the heatbreak, and I don't know how to adjust the other factors affecting it
I don't know if the PTFE Guide Tube could be the issue too. Whenever a clog is made and I tried to get the filament out, it got stuck so I had to cut the filament above the Guide tube and extract it with pliers
Please, I need some help, I am totally desperate as I don't know what else to do to fix it 🙁
Media provided:
Last print i managed to do, with the initial errors, compared to the same print done when it was working
clogs i get every single time I try to print anything. I need to unscrew the guiding tube and pull it out if it's not too big, or cut at the entrance of the filament and pull the whole guide tube
Firmware version:
Video of the printer trying to purge filament. This is done immediately after removing a clog and inserting the filament again with a new cut tip
RE: Constant clogging unable to troubleshoot please help
I have an MK4 not the mini, but the extruder should be similar. You only show two cases one white and the other black. Is it only the black one causing problem's or both. In my case I have two specific rolls of filament to choke my extruder up every time I try to use them. Have you given a new roll a shot. I know what your thinking, but it works for me.
