Benchy Failing at "Smoke Stack"
Without fail when I print a benchy it seems a small amount of filament comes off towards the top on the roof and causes the nozzle to bump into the top dislodging the print. The mini is a second hand one with a bondtech IFS and new silicone sock and nozzle but nothing else changed. There is some stringing so I think it might be a retraction issue but I'm not sure where to start with those adjustments or if it even is a retraction issue. Nozzle temp is set to 200(but it also did this at 210 but with much worse stringing) and filament was in a dryer for 8~ hours prior to printing. First layer seems to not be an issue as this same issue has happened at 3 pretty different z-adjust heights(0.6~,0.8~ and 1.1~). Any help or insight would be welcome.
Please show us a picture of the issue and also of the underside of the failed print.
Cheerio,
RE: Benchy Failing at "Smoke Stack"
My apologies I thought I had inserted them, the black one is from my latest attempt with a 200 degree nozzle, dried filament and lowering the nozzle to 1.1~, the gray one is a 210 degree nozzle and the nozzle height being .6-.7 I believe.
RE: Benchy Failing at "Smoke Stack"
The issue seems to have been fixed, dialing in the z adjust a tiny bit and updating to the newest firmware and slicing in bgcode instead of just gcode, not sure which of those fixed it but doing both resolved the issue
