Belt tension on Mini

Any other way to check the tension, Prusa have a nice device you print "Tension Meter" but must be printed in Prusament and PETG, I don't have that at all.

For me to order PETG that this print requires is expensive. Amazon Canada wants $77 for a roll and Im only printing this. I don't have any use for PETG I use PLA.

So any other way to accurately tension the belts on the Mini?

I use Prusa filaments almost exclusivly, good quality and they don't rip you for postage. Although I guess it'll be more expensive to Canada, it's got to be worth a try. Usually the postage for 2 reels is the same as for one.

BTW once you start printing with PETG you might change your mind, you'll print much stronger parts with a much higher heat tolerance.

@towlerg

Perhaps I shall suck it up and order a box from Prusa.... what are the fumes/smell like from PETG is it as safe as PLA?

Yes PETG is as safe as PLA. Generally concidered to be slightly more challenging to print than PLA. Go for the hot water and washingup liquid scrub to clean the plate.
