After build checklist

I see many different "problems" come along, possibly useful to build a checklist where you can prevent such problems in advance. Do you have a tip yourself? Feel free to share it in this topic!

- Don't overtight the longest screw (M3x40). This prevents the Mesh Bed Leveling from failing.
- Check the tie wraps, they should not be too tight to prevent damage to the M.I.N.D.A for example.
- Check the screws on the pully. It was mentioned in a few posts that it is too loose.
- Check the height of the M.I.N.D.A or just set it right to credit card / tie wrap height.
- Don't update the firmware yet? (4.0.1) Looks like there are problems with unloading filament!

Hopefully you can do something with it when you build the Mini. Any new tips are welcome!

RE: After build checklist

Also noted from YT and Reddit posts:

- possible cables tangled on Z axis, which may limit movement or cause grinding noise
- check electronic box to see if captive nut or screw fallen onto circuit board
- perform self-check WITH build plate on as having it off may cause self-check error
- Z axis lead screws may be on too tight, limited lead screw movement, causing grinding noise

- also check the reach of the tool head to the far left side of the X axis as the cable maybe short, which may cause strain on the wires. Maybe manually check with tie wraps off?

  • Turn and press the knob few times to see whether it seizes

RE: After build checklist
  • Double-check connectors and connections on Buddy board - if sockets slipped out or are tilted, push them back in
