1st print: Filament seems to be stuck in the extruder?
First time 3d printing so this may be a newbie question, so I apologize beforehand. I assembled the mini last night and did a test print of the nut stored in the usb, but quarter of the way through I started hearing clicking noise and then when I came back to check later, it wasn't pushing out filaments anymore so I stopped the print at 50%. I tried to redo a first layer calibration, but now filament won't come out and I am unable to load/unload filaments. The filament was able to get all the way through the tubing, but I think it's stuck at the extruder/extruder motor. I tried disassembling the hotend and the bottom park seemed clean and shiny and was able to push some filaments out when it was heated + gentle force. Not sure what I'm supposed to do next to troubleshoot, do I need to disassemble the extruder motor? what's the right way to move the filament that is stuck inside the tubing. Thanks

Check your Live Z settings. Too high will result in poor adhesion and the print sticking to your nozzle.

@cwbullet
but how do I get the stuck filament out if it's suspected to be jammed in the extruder motor? I'm unable to load/unload at this point
RE: 1st print: Filament seems to be stuck in the extruder?
Hi! I am new as well and just received my printer yesterday and it got the exact same problem. I opened up the screws of the inicial part where the filament goes in and discovered that was forming like a “ball” of filament stuck. Then a literally opened up almost every part here the filament goes to take it out except the noozle. I don’t no for sure what really happened to stop pulling filament but it helped me to reload again. Make sure to disassemble the way they say in the manual topic 10.7 to 10.9.2. And in the end I had to heat up the nozzle and push the needle.
hope it was helpful.
