Re locate - front rail
Waiting for my kit to ship out........ cant wait 🙂
Anyone can share his experience with the front rail. Is it blocking the view and making it difficult to clean the nozzle?
This is my most disturbing issue with the design of the Core One
Is it optional to redesign this?
Does it seem to support and align the Z motors?

RE: Re locate - front rail
I don't see a way to relocate it without seriously reengineering the enclosure
And yes, it's super annoying

RE: Re locate - front rail
This design has made it possible to create the Core One as it is.
Where else can you get a CoreXY printer where you can access everything so easily?
Anyone who is bothered by this bar should look elsewhere.
It doesn't bother me at all and I really can't understand why people make such a fuss about it.
Prusa is not the first manufacturer to do this. And I celebrated it as soon as I saw it for the first time.
I probably wouldn't have bought a Core One otherwise and would have stuck with the MK4S.
RE: Re locate - front rail
Hi Rainer
The XL design leaves the front clear and wide open, showing a different approach.
On the Core One, the rail seems "in the face," blocking the view.
I hope it's not going to bother me so much....

The front rail is part of the single-piece, laser-cut square frame which supports the Core XY mechanism. So it is pretty "core" to the function of the printer; precision of the prints depends on it. I would definitely not mess with it.
RE: Re locate - front rail
The XL is also not an original closed printer.
The bar really didn't bother me. The advantages outweigh the disadvantages, in my opinion.

I mean, yes, in the grand scheme of things the bar is not keeping me up at night. But I don't think anyone can seriously disagree with the view that between the bar and the top lid it makes for some very cramped quarters.
