Prusa Core One - Multiple Spool loader
Hi, i am loving my new Prusa Core One and i understand there are options for MMU3 with a new one in production which may take a while. (I'm fairly impatient :-))
I'm sure someone already have solutions for this but what i am looking for is to have a shelf above my printer with 5 different spools of different types (PLA, ABS etc). I'm not interested in printing different colours in which the MMU3 i understand is aimed for but to be able to easily switch spools prior to a new model being printed.
The idea being i can say i am printing with spool 1 (ABS) and it will switch my filament and choose this spool etc.
Is there a solution for this already in place? I would be grateful if someone can point me in the right direction for this and/or the MMU can work and serve this purpose? I don't have the MMU at present.
I would welcome your ideas and thoughts, thank you in advance!
Thanks
Paul
RE: Prusa Core One - Multiple Spool loader
when you put a model into slicer for MMU
you allocate the appropriate filament to the job,
In this case Purple PETG
and the printer will select filament 4 from the MMU, and print the model with that filament
if I want PLA I would choose filament 1 or filament 2
if I want ASA or ABS I would choose the appropriate filaments
in this print I have chosen filament 4 It's actually Ultramarine blue, I just didn't change the colour icon from Purple
also this is on a mk4 printer, the core1 setup will be the same
