RE: Door handle replacement

Can you attach photos of how you used screws to attach the door? My adhesive is incredibly weak, and the door has come off multiple times...

Just 2 screws and 2 nuts in the existing holes.

My door is on with the hinges to the right. I realized yesterday that there's no corresponding lower hole on the left side bracing so I cannot screw it in. Only fresh adhesive will work unless I flip it.

Mission accomplished!  I came here with this exact issue (lack of color-a-bility for identifying my printers) and love how this turned out!  Great job!

RE: Door handle replacement

My door handle has just enough of a curvature that it doesn't close properly. It hits the printer frame at the top and bottom. I tried to straighten it but being a folded section, it wants to buckle. No way to correct it in both planes. I want to retain the magnetic catch, so here's what I'm contemplating. Steel strapping for pallets and such is easy to get. I'm going to cut a length of that long enough to go beyond both magnets. It will get two holes drilled to match the door, countersunk for small flathead screws. The strapping will spread the load on the door because plexi tends to crack around mounting screws. On the other side I'll print two blocks with holes on the bottom for the screws. They will also spread the load on the plexi. They will have a blind cross hole for an aluminum rod or tube between them. That will be the handle. It should look nice if I can just get going and get the job done! What do you think, before I get too far along with this?

Personally, I would ask Prusa for a replacement handle. If it came curved from the factory and the bend has functional implications (magnetic lock), I think that is justified.

I agree. Why futz around? Snap a picture, get on the chat with Prusa and ask for a replacement.
