Core One toothed idler swap test
The core one has 2 idlers that have smooth faces touching the teeth of the belts. I found gates toothed idlers, which are slightly thicker than the Prusa ones, so it did require printing new mounts in Prusament PCCF. Someone already designed a replacment with a wider slot: https://www.printables.com/model/1283661-prusa-core-one-xy-carriage-toothed-idler.
It required disassembly of the Nextruder to access the belt paths. Then I just swapped in the new parts, using 2 of the old smooth idlers and 2 of the new toothed ones. The purpose of the mod was to see if it would effect the VFA issue but I never had the issue in the first place so I cant speak on that.
The only change I noticed is when I ran the accelerometer it went from X ZVD 55hz and Y ZVD 57hz -> X ZVD 57hz and Y ZVD 59hz. But that could just be minor differences in belt tension.
Anyways in conclusion its probably not worth it. It takes ~30 to ~60 minutes to do and I couldn't notice a substantial difference in print quality. I also don't know if it affects VFA because I never had the issue, but it probably doesnt help either. I don't know why I did this.

If nothing else, we can at least say they don't make vfa worse...

In my case, it improved the VFA quite a bit, apparently. And it took only 15 minutes, so that's really nice. I got the 6mm pulleys, so I just needed to loosen the belt tensioners and unscrew the left XY carriage from the linear holder (on the right side, the screw for the pulley is accessible without unscrewing the XY carriage).

RE: Core One toothed idler swap test
I also did the swap a few months ago (photos in vfa topic) but it did not help at all. So I moved back to originals before I sold the printer.
I haven’t been on the forum for awhile now, any news on solving the VFA issue?
