RE: Any alternative for rivets?
https://www.amazon.com/dp/B008MP06SG - I ordered these as my upgrade kit didn't have a pile of spares. So far I haven't had to replace any so perhaps it wasn't necessary to get 100 more. 🙂

I learned to like these rivets. Aesthetic, easy to insert and remove, reusable, and wouldn't crack the plastic panels.

i wondered about the rivets too. but with the weight spread out over 11 rivets on each side for the handles, they seem fine. no vibration otherwise.
love the tool that zapta posted.
