Pi Zero 2W

Has anyone got Octoprint up and running on this?

If yes, how is it going?

RE: Pi Zero 2W

I'm not doing Octoprint but I'm having a hell of a time finding a Raspberry Pi Zero-2 for another project. I'm on all of the notify me when in stock lists but haven't heard boo!

Do these things even exist?

The Pi Hut seem to have stocks:

Otherwise work through the official reseller list at:

Cheerio,

Vilros had them for a while last week and I jumped on it quickly.  One per household per month limit.

I probably will not get it until Monday.  The USPS tracking site shows the package at the local post office, but it's obviously missed the delivery today.

Ta-Da!  😉

Arrived this afternoon.  Virgin as of this minute and second.

First step is to add a couple of those stick-on heatsinks, then image a micro-SD and see what it will do.

RE:

It's alive!

I just imaged it with the reasonably-current 'Buster' release (with the reported issues with 'Bullseye', I'll hold off on that one) and versioned it to the latest upgrades for everything Buster.

Here's a screen scrape of one of the RPI benchmarks on the new board (click to read the whole thing):

TL;DR version, the PI Zero 2 W is significantly faster than the Pi Zero W in almost everything but the Pi 400 beats the Zero 2 W in everything but disk write, and I think that's just due to the type of micro-SD I have in the 400.

Yes, I know the Internet speeds are low.  We're dual-homed here and the wifi that these are on go via the ADSL tin-cans-and-string secondary connection from the ILEC.

Then for comparison, here's the same benchmark on a Pi Zero W which has been in operation for over a year (again, click to view the whole thing):

And for a further comparison, here's the benchmark on the Pi 400 which I use as a desktop in the train room:

Woo-Hoo! Mine just arrived! Now I can actually start assembling this thing. Maybe I can get it working to show off when I fly out to the Left Coast in a couple weeks.

Decided to do the older software. Not really interested in stumbling around with the issues with the latest.

Hey guys! Are you someone succesfully running OctoPrint on Pi Zero WH? I'm not able to connect my Mini+ still getting "No more candidates to test, and no working port/baudrate combination detected." message 🙁

Can someone help me, please?

Most likely cables, CableCreation Micro USB to Micro USB OTG Cable, Male to Male from Amazon is the one I used. But before it arrived, I ended up collecting all the USB to Micro USB cables (5 total) in the house and tried them. The one that worked was from my Kindle. Also make sure you have a printer profile setup. Follow the Prusa Knowledge Base for Configuration and install.
