RE: Intro line printing off the plate

FWIW an alternate solution would have been to change extruder offset. It's possibly a better solution in that it's leaves the prime line code common across printers.

I’m still a newbie, how would one go about doing that?  I have a bunch of sliced files on my Pi for later printing and would love to not have to re-slice them.

I should say that I've haven't tried this and in principle you you should reslice for any changes.

But if you must, Printer Settings/Extruder 1/Extruder offset.

RE: Intro line printing off the plate

I was doing some looking yesterday and found a gcode, M218 that I thought might be what you were referencing.  Most everything I can find references dual extruders but I guess it could be adapted for this use case.   Either way, it would still require editing all the previously sliced gcode.  I think you’re right though, because if the initial swipe is off, that means the entire thing probably needs an offset.
