Fan Mod for the Electronics Box

So I got my Mini delivered about a week ago, but didn't have time until today to actually assemble it. Assembly took about 30-40 minutes. Most of that time was spent fiddling around trying to get that long bolt for mounting the electronics box to the side.
Just because I had the parts laying around, I wanted to add a small fan to the electronics enclosure since it didn't come with it by default. So while I was on the flight home last week, I modeled up a top fan mount for the electronics enclosure cover. Printed it on my Ender 3 yesterday in Matter Hacker Ryno before I began assembling the Mini today morning.
I'm using a 12V Sunon 4010 fan that's undervolted to 9v to provide a good balance between airflow and noise. I have it hooked up with a tiny stepdown buck converter (MP1584EN based). These were all parts I had in my parts bin so didn't have to buy anything new. Just having these parts around was really the inspiration for doing this mod lol.
Now, as for the need for this this, I don't really think you *need* additional cooling for the mainboard/drivers on the Mini but hey, more airflow won't hurt and could be useful for 20+ hour prints to keep the electronics cool. There is one small flaw with the design in that the left edge of the fan duct hits the hotend heater wire and squishes it down a little bit. I'll be re-designing the duct to account for that before releasing the STLs publicly.
I just finished doing the first print (20mm cal cube) with one of the built in Fast profiles in Prusa Slicer. Turned out spot on.

I'm trying to get something similar. But before printing, I still have to wait for the mini 😀
Have you thought about making this thing a bit higher? Also I would add some holes/slots for to make the air able to get in this housing. The idea of pulling the warm air out isn't bad, but I thing this would work much better if you would place some intake spots on the other side (near the cable output)
Itâs better to give than to receive. Especially advice.
RE: Fan Mod for the Electronics Box
You can potentially combine it with cover that provides a bit of strain relief on X axis by routing cables differently:

The electronics box has vents on the bottom actually. I haven't played around with a push vs pull configuration for the fan yet, more experimentation to do 😉

That's a good idea. Will look in to it.
