Extra fan. Where to hook it up?
There are a couple of projects for top parts of the controller-board enclosure, but don't mention where to plug the extra fan in.
AFAIK there is no extra header on the board to hook up the extra fan, so where would I hook up the fan too?
Parallel
I pretty sure folks have wired fans in parallel.

I had that in mind as well. Guess best with the hot-end fan.
RE: Would a fan splitter cable work?
Would it work to just use a fan splitter cable? I plan to use a 60mm fan but only run it at 20% of full speed for a carbon filter in my enclosure.
Edit: splitter cable would be parallel, I believe. 🙂
RE: Extra fan. Where to hook it up?
Without PWM signal I would connect the fans in parallel. With PWM signal according to this scheme (using the MK3 as an example):

A splitter is parallel, yes.
It might also be possible to crimp new terminals for the connector, and just crimp the two wires in one terminal.

Signal should come only from one fan! If you connect from both fans, then that would deliver "weird" signals to the board (because two fans will never run in sync -even if they're equal). I'm quite sure you'd get fan error message if signal of both fans is used.
