MK4 - Obxidian Nozzle vs Stock printing issues

Hi, I’m hoping someone can point me in the right direction here what might be causing this issue.

I recently changed out my .4 stock nozzle for the Obxidian .4 nozzle and I noticed some printing issues next to the vertical walls. Tried to fix it by raising the temps on the print and that didn’t seem to fix it.

Same filament (Prusa PET-G), same bgcode, latest firmware as of 6/5.

I switched back to the stock nozzle and the issue went away. No clue what else to try.

Thanks

Crud. Looks like I posted this in the wrong forum. If mods could move it that would be great. Thanks

I had similar problems with the Obxidian. I had to print way slower and hotter. Almost no chance to print TPU with it. Even at half of the default MVS, I got jams.

I thought I could use it as my default nozzle, but it seems I have to switch it for when I really need it.

Maybe try printing with half the MVS and see if your problems goes away. If so, then it is most likely the worse heat transfer into the filament compared to the standard nozzle.

I use the Obsidian 0.4 and 0.6 as a replacement for the normal nozzle. Can't tell any difference. With the 0.6 I print TPU with 10mm³ without any problems. No increase in temperature in the other settings.
