RE: Beagle camera V2 and MK4
Hi,
First, regarding the problem of the temperature not being displayed when the MK4 is in use, our new camera firmware version has solved this problem. The new firmware is expected to be released this weekend or next Monday or Tuesday. Just update the firmware after the official release.
In addition, the use of the app must be carried out over a wide area network. If you use the camera in a VLAN, due to network restrictions, the app cannot obtain the camera information at this time (the server cannot obtain the camera information), which means that the app cannot be used in this state. Even if the phone is connected to the VLAN (even the app can connect to the camera through IP), the app still cannot control the camera because it still cannot obtain information through the server.

Wow, that sounds really great - thanks for the heads-up, I'm really looking forward to that release now. 🙂

OK, I guess that's fair enough. I'm not really sure why the app can't just pull the camera feed right from the camera, though. Perhaps this could be something for the developers to contemplate if they have some spare time on their hands. 🙂 I can't be the only customer who doesn't want gear like this to be bound to some cloud offering, no matter how good it is.

Hello ,
Thanks for your feedback,
I changed the USB A-A cables (or A-C for the socket on the back), the problem remains the same
RE: Beagle camera V2 and MK4
I will report this issue to our technical department and see if they have any solutions
RE: Beagle camera V2 and MK4

RE: Beagle camera V2 and MK4
Can people share pictures how they are mounting the beagle camera
RE: Beagle camera V2 and MK4
I have made a mount for the Beagle that fits my Prusa Enclosure:

Any news about the FW update?
I have made a mount for the Beagle that fits my Prusa Enclosure:
Is that not too close?
I have to mount mine outrside the enclosure to see the the whole model, especially for time lapse videos.
RE: Beagle camera V2 and MK4
It‘s too close to have a good view in both the printing and Timelapse positions at the same time if the models are higher than 10cm or so, but it‘s quite all right for the kind of things I do. 🙂
RE: Beagle camera V2 and MK4
Our technical department has added a "console" window to the browser page in the new firmware. When the camera is connected to the printer and operated, corresponding instructions will appear in the "console" window. Through "console", we can easily understand where the problem is when printing exceptions occur and quickly improve solutions.
The new firmware has been tested and is expected to be released this week.
RE: Beagle camera V2 and MK4
This sounds wonderful, I'm looking forward to the release.
It would also be really cool if Mintion set up some kind of a public issue tracker where customers could post suggestions, feature requests and bug reports. I think you could get some valuable insights from that. 🙂
RE: Beagle camera V2 and MK4
Is there a possibility to enter the camera directly into Prusa Connect?
RE: Beagle camera V2 and MK4
Any word on that new firmware release? cant wait to try it out!
Also is there an option to rotate the image 90 deg? It would be a great feature!
RE: Beagle camera V2 and MK4
Our technical department has tried it, but the protocol conflicts. They are now thinking of other solutions to see if they can access it.
RE: Beagle camera V2 and MK4
We tentatively plan to release new firmware on the 16th.
Also setting the video screen to full screen in the app, there is a rotate button which can rotate video screen
RISPONDI: Beagle camera V2 and MK4
today?
RE: Beagle camera V2 and MK4
The firmware is available now and I just installed it. It does now properly report the temperature on the Mk4, which is great!
The function to take a still image in the App is still broken, though, at least on iOS.
RE: Beagle camera V2 and MK4
Are you using the latest version of the app? When you click to take a photo in the app, you will be prompted that your phone needs to authorize the app to use the photo function. You need to select "All". Also after clicking the photo button, the picture is saved directly in the phone, so you need to check the picture you just took in the "Photos" of the phone.
RE: Beagle camera V2 and MK4
The control works for me, but when I send the gcode to print directly from Prusaslicer the timelapse never starts (i.e. the main function for which I purchased the camera). how can I do? ps the integration in prusa connect is always missing which is fundamental
