Remote light and fan control
Dear all,
I have the original Prusa enclosure for the I3MK3S+, together with the original LED strip and the original HePa Filter unit.
I can control the Prusa printer from remote, thanks to Obico and a Shelly S plug, except for the light and the fan.
Did someone did a mod on the switchboard for the light and the fan control, or is there a easier way to remotely control the light and the fan?
Or does someone have a schematic of it?
Thanks in advance, Wim.

RE: Remote light and fan control
I'm not familiar with the light and fan from prusa but octoprint has led strip and fan controller plugins that will most likely work with them...
https://plugins.octoprint.org/plugins/gpiorgbcontroller/
https://plugins.octoprint.org/plugins/gpiofancontroller/
You'd have to wire the controls to a raspberry pi and the power to a voltage regulator off the main psu. It's pretty easy though.
RE: Remote light and fan control
Sorry _Rob_,
I doubt your solution. The the original Prusa LED strip and the original Prusa HePa Filter unit have no connection with the Prusa main board.
Meaning also no connection with Octoprint.

This is a lightweight plugin dedicated to the control of an external RGB LED strip via Raspberry Pi GPIO pins
RE: Remote light and fan control
Hi Wim,
I am working on a very similar thing here:
Could easily add home assistant support here for remote control, just would need to add a software off as I went for retro switches to control light air filter and fan.
But wipe, not finished
