Have a new Prusa Core One Plus. Started using it about a week ago. Only ever used the Prusa filament (PLA Galaxy Black) that came with it, and not even half the roll yet. And the filament keeps breaking inside the feeder assembly. It literally broke a few millimeters outside the feed tube this last time. It was too close to grasp with pliers, due to the little plastic funnel in the feeder. So I replaced the nozzle with the spare that came with it.

But the main question I have is why? I have used other printers and never had this happen so much. This breaking in the feeder just before the nozzle tube has happened more in the last week than in a year of using a different printer by a different manufacturer. I paid them to assemble this thing so i could avoid weird little problems like this, and yet - here I am.

Anyone out there have an idea where I can look? Some adjustment or maybe a slightly off installation?

Thanks in advance...

Here is a picture of the nozzle, in case it helps

Hello everyone.

I am experiencing some very strange behaviour from my Prusa Mini.

Seemingly increasing with model height, I get very strong vertical surface artefacts and also very strange underextrusions in corners. Here is a picture of a flowerpot that I printed in vase mode, which shows this effect all over.

The first ~5 cm of the model are splendid, but with increasing model height, the quality decreases massively.

What could be at fault here and how can I fix it?

Some added details: My Printer stands on my balcony in an enclosure, which is basically just an IKEA IVAR cupboard with doors. I has been there for years, so I don't think the resonance of the wood is to blame. Generally the printer is in good shape. I maintain it once a year (lubrication, retightening screws, etc.). I experience this with all of my filaments (PLA & PETG), in the same fashion.

I already readjusted the belt tension, which reduced the problem slightly, but not enough to pin it down as the cause.

Any ideas? Could this be the fault of the input shaper?

Does somebody have a similar issue?

I am really at a loss of what to do here. Any help is much appreciated! <3

The prints are adhering fine, and first layers look great, although after first layers I can see tiny amounts of build up possibly starting around the very end of the nozzle. I’m not sure how to go about “tuning” for a filament and if that’s what’s needed here?
