I have been using the Bobstro settings for a long time now and they have worked pretty well for supports.

With the revised tree supports now available in 2.6.0, is it time to switch? I am not a high volume print person, so I would love to hear what the state of the art is in support settings (mostly PLA for me, occasionally PETG).

While organic supports are very useful, I've had plenty of examples where organic support were less efficient than snug supports. So there's s place for both types. In fact I'd love to be able to mix and match types when using the paint-on support tool.

@fuchsr is right.  Whilst the new organic supports will take over the majority of support applications the older styles are not obsolete and will remain useful from time to time.

Cheerio,
