Why is my cylinder filled from bottom to top with solid infill?

The object is a simple cylinder with an 8 mm diameter. It's always sliced as a solid object, except if I set infill to 0%. I saw several posts about solid infill being very buggy and in this case, it really looks like a bug to me. I learned that there was an option to disable it in previous PrusaSlicer versions, but it's now gone. It there a way to get my cylinder sliced properly? Thanks!

You probably have solid infill threshold set to 70 but as Diem says, post your zipped project and we can confirm

Please save your project as a .3mf file

Files > Save Project as

Zip the .3mf and post it here. It will contain both your part and your settings for us to diagnose.

Thanks Neophyl! That was indeed the solid infill threshold. What's the purpose of this setting, and why is the default value so high? The documentation doesn't explain why we would want solid infill for small areas.

The value of 70 is a legacy on some older profiles.  Newer profiles have it set to zero.

As to why you would want it, who knows.  I personally never found it to be a useful value as if I want stronger parts then increasing the perimeter count usually works better.
