Weird holes in single wall vase
Hi!
I have a problem with my prusa slicer 2.4.2: whenever i try to slice a vase (Single wall) on prusa slicer for my artillery x1 with standard settings i get weird holes in my walls. whenever i switch to my ender v2 with the exact same settings, the walls print just fine.
in cura i get smooth walls.
does anybody have an idea as to why that is?
i'd be very thankful if someone could point me to the obvious thing i'm missing.
greetings,
Tilman
RE: Weird holes in single wall vase
Its likely to be Detect thin walls. Turn it OFF. It happens when the perimeter is too small for the extrusion width normally. Detect thin walls which i supposed to adjust for this is flakey though so its best to turn it off. Thats a guess though. COuld also be a broken model, yadda, yadda. For anything more concrete we are going to need your project file.
In Prusa Slicer, use File>Save As. This will save a .3mf file that contains the model(s) as well as all the settings and modifiers if any you are using. Think of it as a snapshot.
Then take the 3mf file and ZIP it up. It must be zipped or the forum software wont let you attach it. Its very limited on the file types allowed. Once we have your zipped up project file we can tell you more.
RE: Weird holes in single wall vase
Thx very much! I'll check the setting as soon as I'm home.
I thought detect small holes is supposed to close these. Somewhat comfusing 🤣.
