Variable layer height doesn't turn off

Hi guys,

I'm using PrusaSlicer 2.4.0 beta2 and I can't disable the variable height feature in the printer settigns.

I'm afraid you arent being very clear about what the actual issue is.  What exactly isn't 'turning off' ?  Variable layer height is a specific tool accessed from the plater, it either manually or automatically gives you control of applying specific layer heights to different sections of your objects.  It has to be selected and used though.
The min/max values used by the tool are defined by the settings in Printer Settings>extruder section.

Variable layer height is also used by supports automatically but this isn't part of the model and you cant control that.

IF you could save a project file that demonstrates the issue (File>Save Project As) and then take the resulting .3mf file and ZIP it up so the forum will accept it.  Then attach it to a replay here we might then be able to see what is happening.

The same thing happens. I've set the layer height to .16 but it varies

Sorry, where did you see that there were different height layers? How do you see that in Prusa Slicer?

When you slice the software changes to the slice preview. By default it uses the feature type, so each extrusion type is colour coded. There is usually a key in the top right that shows the colour for each feature. You can click on each to disable displaying each feature to make it easier to discern the specific one you want to see too. That key has a drop down also. You can change that to various other data, such as temperature, fan speed, extrusion width, layer height etc.
