unnecessary support material
Any idea what is going on here? Seems to be generating unnecessary support material on the outside that I do not want. I sliced this a few days ago and it was fine, but now the slicer is generating this on the outside. The only difference since I last sliced it was I upgraded the slicer version. I went back and tried a few older snapshots, but it keeps generating this unwanted unwarranted support material now.

Without seeing the 3mf file with your settings is nothing but a guess but have you tried to set supports to "snug"?
Formerly known on this forum as @fuchsr -- until all hell broke loose with the forum software...
