Under Extrusion with Support Only
I've searched around for a couple of days now and have not found any definitive answers to my problem. I'm using Alpha 6 of PrusaSlicer 2.6 but the same thing happens with the current stable build of 2.5.2. On my prusa mini, supports work just fine. When printing with organic or Grid supports I get a lot of under extrusion in the supports only. They semi work, as in they get high enough to be able to support the area that needs support but I've had a couple of times where when they get too high, the support doesn't have enough strength to it and it makes the whole print fail. I have the issue with PETG and PLA. I'm kind of at a loss as to what else to try. Below is a picture of how the supports look. Also my Support settings and Filament settings. I don't have under extrusion anywhere else, only the supports themselves.
RE: Under Extrusion with Support Only
Under print settings>advanced are the various extrusion width settings, the extrusion width for supports is usually defined to be thinner than the nozzle, around .35 usually for a normal .4 nozzle profile. If you want your supports to be thicker then just increase the extrusion width.
RE: Under Extrusion with Support Only
That looks like fairly normal behavior. As neophyl said, supports are printed "thinner" by default. Also, I would suggest you ditch grid for snug supports, which almost always work better.
