Supports going through other parts
Hello everyone!
I'm having an issue with the slicer where I have two parts that overlap, one above the other. PrusaSlicer has added supports, but the material for the supports goes through the lower part. Is this intended and will this cause issues when I try to print?

Yes this will cause you problems as 2x plastic in one area won’t work too well. PS slices individual models so they can have different layer heights etc but this means you can not overlap them. If you do then bad things happen.
The way to stop this is to combine the objects into one. If you are using the latest 2.3 PS there’s an option on the right click menu to combine objects. This makes slicer treat them as one and then your support will not go through objects but will be built on top of the lower objects (unless you have support on build plate active).
