Supports first layer outside print area

Hi all,

I'm printing a case which uses the maximum print space of my MK4S (250x210mm). On one side I need supports. However the first layout of the supports is then outside of my print area. See screenshot:

I already checked all advanced settings in Prusa Slicer for supports but found nothing to reduce this first layer.

Any ideas?

Thanks
Tinus

The slicer supports are a generic assistant when custom  supports are not available or not critical.  Yours are critical.

Here you need to design tailored supports in the original CAD to keep within bed limits..  It's hard to tell from your picture but you might need no more than a one extrusion thick wall at the perimeter to catch and support the bridging above.  Supports designed in CAD are almost always more efficient especially when the slice is to be printed many times.

Cheerio,
