Small perimeter says applied to

Small perimeter says applied to <= 6.5mm radius.  Maybe I'm reading this wrong?

Using "speed" display on sliced part it appears to be diameter?

The 6.5mm size is NOT large enough in certain situations.

Can the 6.5mm (diameter) limit be increased?

Thanks!

.

To my knowledge this is a hard coded fixed size to slow down printer speed for small holes.
There is still the possibility to compensate with XY Size Compensation in the advanced printer tab, but this setting will also change the outer size in the XY plane.

If you think there is an error in PrusaSlicer or you want to request a new feature to compensate for small holes, I would suggest creating an issue at GitHub that the developers of PR will see.

Have a look at my models on Printables.com 😉

Small perimeters is not just for holes.  It’s applied to any perimeter shorter than the threshold, so could be a small irregular outlined post.
Whether the tool tip is correct for radius or diameter that just gives a circumference which is the threshold length.

OK.

Makes some sense.

I wish the 6.5 mm was adjustable.

RE: Small perimeter says applied to

Old Post new user .. one thing I really wanted to do was to be able to slow down the printing of hole perimeters.. this feature seems to be useless. have a 1.5mm holes that are being printed at perimeter speed even though I have it set to 12mm .. also tried setting to 0.   Every time I think I have a reason to switch to Prusaslicer it lets me down.. 🙁

RE: Small perimeter says applied to

I take it all back.. it does work.  Set perimeter to 15mm/S and small too 50% and printed at 7.5mm/s

Not sure why it did not work when I had it set to 5mm/S.. that seems to be a valid setting

Will try it again using a much lower percentage.
