Slicer removing part of model
So I made this object using TinkerCad by combining some different STL files. When I put it into PrusaSlicer, it looks ok in the normal mode, but when I do a Print Preview parts of my object are removed. I'm new to all of this, so any help would be appreciated (Pics attached so you can see what I mean

Hello and welcome in the Prusaforum!
For printing small parts with small wall thicknesses (< 0.4mm) you may have to use a smaller nozzle - e.g. 0.25mm.
Statt zu klagen, dass wir nicht alles haben, was wir wollen, sollten wir lieber dankbar sein, dass wir nicht alles bekommen, was wir verdienen.

@karl-herbert
But will this affect the slicer and cut out parts of the model like that? And thanks for the welcome.
RE: Slicer removing part of model
The profile you have selected defines the nozzle size and also the plastic width for various features. For example with a 0.4mm nozzle the perimeter width is usually 0.45mm. Anything below that size in the x/y won’t be sliced or printed as it technically can’t, it’s too small.
You can turn on detect thin walls and this will try to compensate somewhat but it’s not perfect and can actually cause other issues depending on the model.
This is why for really small things you may need a smaller nozzle along with the appropriate profile to match.

Would it help if I were to try and fill in the inside of the model? Its mostly hollow inside. Also, my brother does have a resin printer, is that probably more appropriate? Thanks.
RE: Slicer removing part of model
If you have access to a resin printer then that is what they excel at. There are a few things you can do but it really does depend on the model and how accurate to dimensions it needs to be. There are settings like x/y compensation which can grow a model slightly, which for an artistic model can be acceptable but is obviously not great for parts that have to fit together.
If you post the stl or project file (needs to be zipped for the forum to accept such files) then we can have a play with settings and see what will/wont work.

Ok, will see if he can print it in resin. The dimensions don't matter, its meant to be mounted on the side of a vehicle with a set size though. It doesn't need to fit together, it just goes on the side.SideGunPod2
