Slicer 2.9.1 Transparent model view!
I have noticed that when I click on the slice button, the model and all the individual parts become transparent for a short time and I find that view can be very helpful.
Is there a way to toggle this in the software so I can see it easily without slicing it?
Here is an axample.
1) here is the model.
2) When I hit the slice button, this is how the display changes.
3) Once it is finished slicing, it looks like this.
Having that transparent view would be useful to me, maybe not others.
Thank you either way!

In sliced view have the legend set to "Feature type". Then you can toggle off all the various feature types in the legend by just left-clicking on them.
Then toggle on the "Shells" button.
And voila, transparency. Not a new thing, just not so known apparently.

Nope. Been requested on the Prusa slicer github for ages, with various people creating duplicates. For example https://github.com/prusa3d/PrusaSlicer/issues/3678

Or if you're in a rush or fine with seeing the first layer just toggle Shells on and lower the z preview to the bottom. That way you don't forget to toggle the features back on.

Except of course you are in the sliced view and can't actually manipulate anything or reposition things with the oh so handy transparent view so its of decidedly LIMITED use in the form its in.
The original question was without slicing it.

Thank you; this is a great workaround!
Let's hope Prusa can provide a simpler toggle that we can use without slicing.
