Sliced object disappears. Why?
What could possibly be the reason for PrusaSlicer to slice all 3 parts, but then ignore the middle part (the backplate)? One can even see how the skirt runs around the gears, but straight through the backplate.
On the Prusa Mini, it then only prints the two gears.
Any ideas on what's going on here?

It looks lie the file was imported into Slicer this way, I used the "split to parts" feature in slicer then "dropped the offending part to the bed" and it should all be good now.

Upload the 3MF file so we can see your files and settings.

Attached is the 3mf file.
Actually printed the file and it exhibited the strangest behaviour: it would finish printing the two gears and then print the backplate. Though the Prusa Mine Preview screen doesn't show the backplate at all.

Oh, neat. I didn't see, that the offending part wasn't on the buildplate. I was so impressed that Fusion 360 had a "3D print" feature, that would send everything straight to PrusaSlider, that I didn't check the rest.
