Slice & Print in perfectly parallel lines

Firstly - pardon my paint....

Is there a way to slice & print in perfectly parallel lines?

i.e. see below:

  • 1st image is how its currently printing, there's lines each end that are perpendicular
  • 2nd image is what i'm looking for instead of the first, every line is perfectly parallel with the other
  • 3rd image (uggh) is what i'm actually looking to achieve, some curves - but basically the 2nd image

Print times will be much slower of course, there may be some end finishing required due to filament starts/stops & stringing - but the closer I can get the better.

Is this called something - is there a slicer setting to do this?

Wouldn’t the easiest way to achieve #2 be to print 5 copies of a single line? I.e. create the model of one line, place 5 copies of that on the build plate at the distance you want.

I think you could achieve #2 by setting 0 perimeters, and I think rectilinear 100% infill with the angle set to 0 or 90 or something like that.  I did something similar to print a 3-layer transparent PETG "window".  But #3 wouldn't be achieved by this method...

Nice & elegant there

5 objects, extrusion width nice & high - only thing is with the curves, the objects need to be different as they're inside the previous.

Thankyou Sir!
