Skewed Build Plate On Open

V2.9.2 Opening P-Slicer virtual build plate is slightly skewed to the right. Attempting to rotation is frustrating as it's as if center of rotation is not center of plate. Adding a model neither makes better or worse. Can drag build plate and still center is off.

Is there a setting somewhere I'm missing?

You can use the (K) key to toggle between Orthographic and perspective in the view port.

You can use the (B) key to reset the Camera view to Orbit from the center of the bed.

You can use the (Z) key to zoom and Orbit from the center of a selected Object or Objects.

If you Pan, you now have two Pan options, I posted about this several months ago asking if anyone noticed, and the post got a very loud response of (crickets chirping). That Post, Don't disturb the Crickets I believe its an undocumented change, At least I couldn't find anything on it.

Before PS 2.9.0 in Windows at least, you could use either the middle or right mouse buttons to Pan your view, and your Orbit behavior would remaine the same type.

However since 2.9.0:

If you Pan using the Right mouse button, you now Orbit from the bed plane, (witch is for all intent and purpose infinite) so you have to be careful where you grab. (It can be disorienting if your not aware)

The middle mouse button however, retains the old behavior, Orbiting from the center of the camera, or selected Object or Objects.

Examples:

Using the middle mouse button you could Pan/Drag the area of an Object you wanted to view to the center of the screen (The Camera) and Orbit around that area with a reasonable degree of freedom.

Using the right mouse button will cause the Camera to lock onto the bed plane and Orbit's from there, until you either use the middle mouse and reposition the view or use one of the shortcut Keys mentioned above to reset the view.

I hope I'm explaining this well, this is the first time I've tried to convey this information via text. It's easier to demonstrate when your in the same room with a person.

Good Luck, I hope this helps.

Thank you for the help. I did try all of those keyboard commands to no avail.  If I rotate virtual plate so back is "towards" me and 0-0 (home) 0r front is away, plate squares on screen. Rotate in X-Y and the thing skews like center of rotation is not the center of the plate.

I do have couple of other printers from different mfg's. Use a combo of Orca and the mfg's slicers. P-Slicer is the only one I have this problem with. Not bad enough that I won't use it as I do really like. Just a bit of frustration every so often.

Using on a Mac  Studio M1 Ultra, Sequoia 15.6.1. Kensington Slimblade TrackBall.

Re-read your instruction and it just dawned on me, I have programed the Kensington buttons to a non-standard layout. I’m a lefty.  I need to have a look at creating a button combo that emulates the middle button of a mouse.

My son is ambidextrous, but uses his mouse left handed, and has had this issue as well, well, with the instructions I've offered him in the past, relative to 3d software's anyway, however He always has his programed for gaming and it really messes him up on the creative side.

Good luck to you, I hope you get it worked out.
