sequential prints with color changes (with one only extruder)
Hi!
I want to use sequential print to avoid some stringing on small items, but I want to print with a color change at some height (the same for all prints) and only change the filament once.
What I want to do is: print lower part of item1 (in one go), print lower part of item2 (same), change color, print upper part of item1 (same), print upper part of item2 (same).
Here is an image to illustrate.
Do you know any way to do that, even with some custom gcode?
Thanks

You could probably do some floating object jank where you would stack things on top of each other instead of sitting on the bed. Placement would be an imprecise tedium if you didn't set it up in CAD though.
Haven't used my MMU in forever so not sure if that would work. But I can see it happening with a multi-tool XL.
