Section of model missing in sliced gcode
The sliced gcode for one of my parts in my current project is missing a section. This is my first project using FreeCad, so that my play a part too. The STL I designed was showing the ‘Auto-repaired’ error, so I used the ‘Repair STL file…’ option in PrusaSlicer 2.4.0. I imported the OBJ into the slicer then right-clicked to ‘Export as STL…’ Then for some reason one section shows up until I hit the ’Slice Now’ button. Then it goes missing in the gcode preview.
I attempted to fix it by changing the layer height made, but that made no difference. Neither did turning “detect thin walls” on in the settings. Then I e-exported the .stl in FreeCad and it sliced completely as expected and made the .gcode with no issues.
I tried the same process again that caused the issue in the first place. This time everything is perfect and as expected. Both STL look the exact same to me, however the file size of the first repaired STL was 187kb and this new one was 188kb.
I have fixed my issue this time, but I would like to avoid this in the future. What was causing this missing section in the gcode?

Could be a million things but I'd bet 100 bucks it's errors in the STL that Prusaslicer was unable to fix. I'm not sure I'm following your workflow but it seems you exported from Freecad several times, once you had an error, the next time you didn't? Seems more a problem with FreeCad than PS but then again I'm not a Freecad user.

Yes. I exported the STL from FreeCad. Once I noticed the error in the gcode, I tried exporting the STL again to see if I could replicate the error. I was leaning towards it being a faulty STL too, but wanted to see if it could have possibly been something else I did. Thank you for your response.
