Seams

Hi all.

I'm having rather big issues with holes in my seams. The object I'm printing needs to hold fluid so any holes are a no no. I've tried different sizes of nozzle and lots of different speeds but alas I just get the same issue. It appears that my seams don't join together. I mean that the seam starts and ends at a slightly different place thus leaving a gap. Is there a setting somewhere that can force printer to overlap the start of the seam with the end on the same line? It only happens on my perimeters. I've added some pictures to hopefully show what I mean. As you can see there are huge holes. This is printing with a 1mm nozzle at 20mm/s even with a 0.4mm nozzle I get holes which are smaller but any holes are a no no so I'm hoping it's a setting somewhere I can tweak. I'm at a loss so far after 4 days of tweak/print/repeat so calling on your vast knowledge to offer advice.

Any ideas or suggestions I'm thankful for in advance.

Regards

Andy.

RE: Seams

What orientation are you using? Perhaps you could download a .3MF project file?

RE: Seams

This example has the seam position oriented to the rear of the print.

RE: Seams

Sorry I wasn't clear, I meant which face is touching the bed. Really it would be so much easier if you attached a zipped up copy of your .3MF project file, it caontains all the info that anyone might need to help you.

Ah ok, sorry I misunderstood what you meant.

Is it ok if I PM you please? I can't share this particular file with the whole forum, but I'd be happy for you to take a look if you can?

Kind regards,

Andy.

Sure, happy to but I don't claim to be PrusaSlicer expert or anything.
