"Saved in inches" warning

I use blender 2.93 for moddeling and I export my models in 3mf Format. Blender is adjusted to the metric unit system. When I import my models into PrusaSlicer 2.3.3 I always get the warning "Some object looks like saved in inches...". This also happens when is save my models into stl format. How can I get rid of this message?

Thank you

Bernd

You can configure blender properly. Just because you have it set to metric does not mean the SCALE is properly configured.
I use blender for my models too and when set up there is no issue. At least with stl files exported. I’m going to have to go look for the 3mf export option now 😀 didn’t realise that had become an option

Could you please create a blend file containing a 20mm cube and save it. Then zip up the blend into an zip archive and attach it here. Must be zipped for the forum to accept the file. I’ll then open it in my blender install which should allow me to check the settings and see what’s been missed.

Hi,

here is the ZIP-File 20mm. I included a 3mf-file and a stl-file in the zip.

I configured blender to millimeter, but I did not change the unit scale. In PrusaSlicer I have to change the scale (or in blender in the export dialog). This is also very annoying. Do you know how to fix that?

Thanks,

Bernd

RE: "Saved in inches" warning

Thanks for the files but I really need your .blend file so I can see how YOUR install of blender has its default settings configured.

If I import your cube stl into Blender it comes in at 0.02mm in size and not 20mm.  That would suggest as I said before that you have not configured your unit scale.

What are you using ti import/export 3mf files with blender ?
