Rotary custom build surface?
I have a need for printing on a rotational axis. Is there any way to add a 3d model as a build surface on a rotary axis?
In stead of the traditional flat bed?
I would be willing ta pay for developing this feature.
RE: Rotary custom build surface?
You can buy 4-5 axis 3 d printers. However they are fantastically expensive. https://all3dp.com/2/5-axis-3d-printer-the-latest-advancements/ for an article on several.
You can probably also find home brew versions with a google search.
I am not familiar with anyone modding a prusa to do so though. I suspect it would be easier to just build one than to modify something like a mk3.
RE:
Adding a fourth axis to the MK3 is less of a problem. It's more difficult to find an appropriate software (slicer). I don't know of any open source project that could handle 4-axis post-processing.

Yes i have seen a few homebrew versions, the problem is i need a non cylindrical build surface. on the rotary axis.
I havent been able to find anything like that. Maybe i try to find somone and pay them to develop it.
