[Request] - Ironing and top/bottom surface beautification.
Ironing is great... well, after I ironed out the issues with jamming that is. I have successfully resliced most of my models but have found I had to tweak things to get a nice quick iron that looks great but isn't overkill (15%,0.2mm,30mm/s). I have a few suggestion that would make my use case (and I hope others) easier.
- Add extra 'Ironing Type' option; 'Top surfaces above ?mm²', where you can set the minimum area to be ironed.
- Add a perimeter number option to all surfaces identified by the above setting (I find ironing looks best when a single perimeter is used).
- Add the option to set the bottom fill pattern angle independent of the fill angle (bottom 0°, fill 45° alternating, ironing 0° (as it would always be 45° from the fill, this would give a great finish).
These few tweaks (the ones possible) I have done manually and my models are coming out very nice and quick.
Cheers!

Well, sure. We all do. But you are asking somebody else to do the heavy lifting and write the code that allows you to do so. Prusa is willing to do so, but does ask that you make a feature request that spells out what you want and can be prioritized.

Nah, I'm just suggesting how to improve a feature, that would benefit everyone 😘 I've posted over in GitHub, so there you go.
