INDX - Yes or No?

I've been eagerly awaiting the opening of orders for the INDX and now this has happened, I'm not sure if I should order it now or not.

My Core One / MMU3 setup has been bullet proof and working perfectly. Quality of prints has been excellent. Only issues have been my error selecting wrong filament etc.....I have had hundreds of filament changes and never had a load issue, apart from the occasional breakage of a brittle filament.

I like the fact that with INDX I'll get quicker prints, minimal waste, won't have to worry about purge settings or reprints due to bleed if I get these wrong and be able to free up desktop space given no need for a bank of filament holders, buffer or PTFE tubes going everywhere.

Cost shipped to Australia however, makes an 8 tool version nearly as much as a Core One kit and it is here that I'm questioning do I really want / need one.
I have had the MMU3 loaded with 5 filaments on a few occasions (I like making stuff for the grandkids) so I think I would prefer the 8 tool version from the outset.

I'm assuming the cost reflects the quality of the components and technology and appreciate there will be initial issues that will need to be worked out.

So yes or no to a purchase?

Heat bed not up to temp

Filament suddenly stopped adhering. Tried different filaments, pla & PETG. The lcd said the bed was at 60C, but it was just warm to the touch. Should have been HOT!

The thermister seems to work. Responds to heating with a hair dryer & shows the bed temp rising when prints start. And yes, it’s firmly attached to the heat bed. But the bed is nowhere near what the display shows

I tried tuning a print from 60 C to 88C and adhesion improved.

Any ideas would be appreciated!

Ho do I remove the bowden tube from the extruder?

I need to remove the tube from the extruder to load TPU. How does the coupler work? The black ring does not push in like others I've used. It does spin, but it does not unscrew. What is the magic word? Thanks.

Inland Transparent PETG+

I bought a few rolls of Transparent PETG+ from Inland for fun. I am doing some test prints and my palette swatches are coming out with these weird bubbles on the surface. That's a thin part, so that might be part of it.

I adjusted the settings for the filament diameter. My temp tower shows that the default 250C is best. Is it because of the infill? I used the standard 15%. The top layer is smooth, but that recessed flat layer is bubbly. I had it do this on at least three different color rolls so far.

I am running the Flatpak install of PrusaSlicer on Fedora 43 and when I ran my updates today, I got this message:

It doesn't affect the ability to use the app in any way, but I just wanted to bring it to the dev's attention

Upgrade from 4 to 8 toolchanger

Anyone know the additional height of the cover? I can't seem to find it anywhere. I just ordered my INDX conversion kit and I'm wondering if I'll need to move the shelf I have over my Core One.

Upgrading the 3.5 with second-hand Core 1 extruder?

I just ordered the INDX for my Core One (And I'm really looking forward to it), but I realized that for the upgrade I'll have to get rid of the entire original extruder, including a collection of nozzles...
I used to have a Mk3.5 before that i gifted to an old friend and since the C1 extruder doesn't look to be that different from the Mk4, I'm toying with an idea to give the C1 extruder to the guy as well and let him build basically a 3.9

Anyone having a similar idea? Is there an expert that had the Mk4 and C1 extruder disassembled side by side and compared them?
