PS 2.7.4+Win64 Strange support configuration?

I'm trying to print a pill dispenser that screws onto the top of a standard 37mm pill bottle.  I created the model in OnShape and used a 'threadcutter' extension to make the threads.  I arranged the model as shown, with 'For support enforcers only' and with support enabled inside the flared portion (blue color in the 'before' screenshot).  However, when I slice the model, I get support structures around the outside of the flared portion, and then on the inside, as if the supports were somehow penetrating the solid material halfway up the flared section, instead of 'growing' the support structure up the middle where there is a clear path to do so.  This of course does not work, as the support material doesn't stick to the inside of the 'bowl', and the support material outside doesn't do anything.

Any thoughts?

I also tried 'organic' support structures, and this worked better, with support 'tubes' coming up through the dispenser throat to connect to the threads.  However, the slicer also put support structures around the outside of the flared section, even with supports explicitly disabled (red/magenta coloring in the plater view) on the outside of the structure.

This looks like a bad PS bug, or am I not understanding how support enhancers/disablers work?

Turns out 'snug' supports did the trick - who knew?
